On November 11, Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce, together with Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province and Hebei Development and Reform Commission, jointly held the 2022 China International Digital Economy Expo Promotion Conference and the Special Event for Release of Key Investment Projects. Over 60 investment promotion agents and important merchants from more than 20 countries and regions around the world participated in this promotion activity online.

The promotion activity focused on the historical evolution, characteristics and highlights and the setting of content blocks of the China International Digital Economy Expo. At the same time, 243 key investment promotion and cooperation projects in the field of digital economy, including artificial intelligence, big data, metaverse, 5G, industrial Internet, intelligent manufacturing, digital commerce and other topics, were released, with a total planned investment of 219.821 billion Chinese yuan.

In order to do well in the collection, selection and release of projects for the Expo, before the promotion activity, Hebei Development and Reform Commission and Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce jointly issued a notice to organize all parts of Hebei province according to the "14th Five Year Plan" industrial layout plan, aim at the top 500 enterprises in the world, the top 500 enterprises in China and the top 100 enterprises in the digital economy , and plan to introduce a number of enterprises and projects with high scientific and technological content, great development potential and good growth potential from the perspective of seizing the commanding heights of industrial development, complementing the weaknesses of industrial chain, promoting the deep integration of digital economy and real economy, and accelerating the formation of digital economy industrial clusters.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Hebei Provincial Department of Commerce, the projects announced at this Expo are of large investment scale, excellent project quality and new business models, which manifest Hebei Province's determination to transform and upgrade traditional industries and enhance the overall competitiveness of the industry. Organizing this promotion activity will further expand the international influence of the Expo, attract domestic and foreign enterprises in the field of digital economy to invest in Hebei, and inject strong momentum into Hebei’s accelerated cultivation and growth of digital economy.
